Flexifoil all the way for freestyle.
Second hand stainless steel would be the first choice (about $350 on e bay) or new I think Flexi only make the scout now which I have and its fantastic.
Design wise its stronger than the SS due to thicker tube walls and bracing but if you don't look after it it'll rust because it's mild steel albeit galvanised and powder coated and lacquered. But if you're not on the coast that shouldn't be a problem.
On the other brands of buggy:-
Peter Lynn:- ok as a beginner buggy and basic cruiser but won't take much freestyle abuse. Be ok for two wheels and power slides/360s but not jumping
Libra:- for cruising/ racing
Radsail/Eolo:- pleeeeeaaaase don't EVER buy one of these monstrosities!!!!!! they are weak and the customer service when they break (which they will) is appauling
Cobra is a shop I think and they sell different makes. Top of their list is Flexifoil.
If you look to the right at moine and Necro's avatars you'll see Nicks buggy is a large cruising machine designed for stability at speed and cruising. Mine is a small agile thing that is easy to unbalance but strong too.
I use a Libra seat harness as I fell it spreads the weight across my lower back. I'd go for a seat harness instead of a waist harness because they ride up under your arms when jumping.
Kite wise I'm not sure the sprints are your best bet for freestyle, especially jumping. The Ace is a better freestyle kite.
Hope that helps
